Who Can Use SDM?

It is appropriate for: ° All women with menstrual cycles between 26 and 32 days. ° Couples who want to space pregnancies. ° Couples who can agree whether or not to have intercourse on a particular day. SDM can also be used to achieve pregnancy.  Couples time sexual intercourse on fertile days.

• Helps her remember whether the days are fertile or infertile

How is the Standard Days Method Used?

On the first day of your menstruation, move the band to the red bead.	Also, mark that day on your client card.
Every morning move the band to the next bead.	Always move the band in the same direction, from the narrow to wide end.
On White bead days abstain from intercourse.  These are days when you can get pregnant.	On Brown bead days you can have intercourse.  These are the days when you do not get pregnant.
